All product designs, product names and content on this website are protected by international copyright and trademark laws. It is therefore forbidden to use product designs, product names or trademarks without a written permission from Mazo ApS.

 


3.PERSONAL DATA POLICY

 

INTRODUCTION

This policy describes how we use and protect personal data, and must ensure that employees are aware of the rules that apply to the use of the personal data to which they have access as part of their work. This policy complements our other policies on IT security, internet and email and the like.

 

This policy aims to meet the requirements of theGeneral Data Protection Regulation, including in particular Art. 13

 

Where in the policy reference is made to legal articles, this refers to the General Data Protection Regulation, and where there are sections of law references, this is done to the Privacy law.

 

GENERAL FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Any processing of personal data in our company takes place with reference to the principles of legality, fairness and transparency. Personal data is collected only for explicitly stated and legitimate purposes, just as we observe the principle of data mining. We strive for all information to be correct and up-to-date, just as the principles of storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality and, not least, accountability are paramount.

TREATMENT PURPOSES; CATEGORIES OF INFORMATION PROCESSED

The purpose of processing personal data can be diverse, but the following examples are the most common. If we exceptionally need to process personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the following, you will be informed accordingly. The same applies if we collect or process personal data from others than you.

 

  • Completion of orders.

  • Fulfillment of warranty and warranty obligations.

We use data about you to fulfill our agreement with you as well as to make our service better and ensure quality in our products and services. The personal data we process includes:

 

Automatically collected data

We have a number of digital solutions based on various technologies with the aim of ensuring user-friendliness and security. These technologies can automatically collect data in order to offer the best possible solution, either directly by us or by a third party on our behalf. Analysis of clickstream data and cookies are examples of this.

All visits to a digital solution involve sending information from the browser you are using to a server. It is through analysis of this data that we optimize the digital solutions. Data is collected via third parties on our behalf. Data can be collected about your browser to manage our system and perform internal, marketing-related analyzes based on your behavior. Examples of data collected and analyzed:

 

  • Date and time of visit

  • Pages visited in the solution

  • The IP address you use

  • The geographical location of the IP address

  • Information about the browser and computer used (type, version, operating system, etc.)

  • URL from referral site (the page from which the visitor came to our solution)

  • We use internal data providers who act as data processors for us. We are data responsible for the data collected, and the data collected will not be passed on unless there is consent or there is a legal claim.

Information you provide yourself

Of course, we take note of the information you give us in connection with a physical visit or a visit to our website.

 

Examples of data that you actively submit are usually common and include name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. and most often comes from:

4. BASIS OF TREATMENT

 

Personal data is processed mainly on the basis of Art. 6.1.b, as processing is necessary in order to fulfill the legal obligations of the contract between us.

Certain information, including sensitive information, is processed as far as possible on the basis of consent, cf. immediately below.


 

5. RECIPIENTS AND DISTRIBUTION OF PERSONAL DATA

 

We only pass on personal data to third parties in accordance with what is stated in this privacy policy.

 

We may disclose your information if we are required to disclose or share it, in order to comply with a legal obligation. Disclosure may also be made at the direction of a court or other authority, or to protect trademarks, rights or property. This involves exchanging information with other companies and organizations for protection against fraud.

 

We use service providers and data processors who perform work on our behalf. The services can be, for example, server hosting and system maintenance, analysis, payment solutions, address and solvency control, email service, etc. These partners can access data to the extent necessary to provide their services and services. The partners will be contractually obliged to treat all data in strict confidence, and thus are not allowed to use data for anything other than what is covered by the contractual obligation to us. We check that our data processing partners comply with their obligations. If we pass on your information to a service provider or data processor outside the EU, we will ensure that we comply with the legal requirements for such transfers.

 

We never collect personal data without you giving us this information when registering, purchasing or participating in a survey, etc.


 

6. STORAGE TIME AND DELETE POLICY

 

We store information about you as long as we have a legitimate and factual basis for this, including so that we have the opportunity to serve you in the best possible way.

 

As a starting point, all personal data will be deleted after 5 years after the end of the customer relationship, which means the last active transaction. Personal data can be stored longer if there is a factual need for this, for example if a legal claim is to be determined, asserted or defended, cf. art. 17.3.e.


 

7. RIGHT OF ACCESS, CORRECTION AND DELETION (Art. 13.2.b, Art. 15.)

 

You have a right to request insight into the information we process. The information you can request is, if applicable:

 

  • That personal data is processed

  • What is being treated

  • The purposes of the treatment

  • The categories of personal data concerned (ordinary or sensitive)

  • The period of time in which they are processed, including storage

  • The right to request correction or deletion

  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency

  • You have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected without undue delay. You must take the initiative for such a correction.

 

You can also request to be deleted ("the right to be forgotten"), but only after the expiry of our legislative obligation pursuant to the Accounting Act. You can also contact us if you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of the law or other legal obligations.

 

When you contact us with a request to have your personal data corrected or deleted, we will investigate whether the conditions are met, and if so, implement changes or deletion as soon as possible.


 

8. DATA PORTABILITY AND PROFILING

 

You have the right to receive the personal data you have made available to us and those we have collected about you from other actors on the basis of your consent. If we process data about you as part of a contract to which you are a party, you can also have your data sent to you. You also have the right to transfer this personal data to another service provider.

 

If you wish to exercise your right to data portability, you will receive your personal data from us in a commonly used format.

 

We generally do not do profiling, ie. automated decisions for use in analyzes or the like.


 

9. CONSENT

 

Where consent is necessary as a basis for treatment, we must be able to document that such a thing exists. That is why we always require written consent.

 

A consent is a voluntary, specific, informed and unequivocal expression of intent regarding a processing of personal data. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and if this is the only basis for treatment, future treatment will cease. However, our storage obligations and rights are not changed by this.

10. COOKIES

 

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that contain letters and numbers that are placed on your computer or other device. Cookies are set when you visit a website that uses cookies and they can be used to keep track of which pages you have visited, they can help you continue where you left off or they can remember your language settings or other preferences. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze how users use our website. The Personal Data that the cookie collects about your use (traffic data, including your IP address) is sent to and stored on Google's servers in the United States. Google uses Personal Data to evaluate your use of our website, compile reports on the activity of our website and provide other services related to the activity of our website and the use of the Internet. Google may also disclose Personal Data to third parties if required by law or if third parties process Personal Data on Google's behalf.

Google Analytics sets two types of cookies: (a) A persistent cookie that shows whether the user is recurring, where the user comes from, which search engine was used, keywords, etc., and (b) session cookies that are used to show when and where as long as a user is on the site. Session cookies expire after each session, that is, when you close your tab or browser. Google does not link your IP address with any other Personal Data held by Google.

HOW TO WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT

In connection with us collecting a statement of consent from the visitors at www.mazo-design.com, a module is used in which the visitor is instructed in revoking the statement of consent.

In the event that the consent statement is revoked, the data collection is stopped and an automatic blocking occurs.

As the cookies are actual files, they must be deleted manually from the device either via the browser or program.


11. SECURITY

 

We protect your personal data and have a set of internal rules on information and IT security.

 

Our internal security rules contain instructions and measures that protect your personal data against being destroyed, lost or altered, against unauthorized publication, and against unauthorized access or knowledge of them.

 

We have established procedures for granting access rights to those of our employees who process personal data, including sensitive ones. We control their actual access through logging, codes and supervision. To avoid data loss, we regularly backup our data sets.

 

In the event of a security breach that results in a high risk for you of discrimination, ID theft, financial loss, loss of reputation or other significant inconvenience, we will notify you of the security breach as soon as possible, just as we have a statutory reporting obligation.

13. CONTENT, PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND PRICES - DISCLAIMER

 

Mazo ApS strives to deliver as accurate and up-to-date content on the website as possible. Unfortunately, there will be situations where price changes, sold out items and other unintentional errors will occur. We reserve the right not to be held responsible for these errors and changes. Likewise, Mazo ApS and any employee or representative will not be liable for damages resulting from the use of this website or the products sold here.


 

14. CURRENT LEGISLATION

 

Any dispute that arises between a customer and Mazo ApS will be settled in accordance with Danish law.


 

15. ORDER

 

www.mazo-design.com is available 24 hours a day. The website may for short periods be shut down for maintenance.

 

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid credit card to shop on our website. If you are not 18 years old, an adult can make your order for you.

 

How to order:

Once you have found the product you want to buy on the product pages, click "add to cart". In the shopping cart, click on "continue to pay" when you have added the products you want to buy and want to complete your order.

Continue and fill in the required information for the execution of your order, eg name, address, etc. You also have at this stage of the process the opportunity to get an overview of products and the value of your order by clicking "proceed to order overview".

Once you have filled in credit card information and clicked "Accept payment", you have completed your order and made a binding offer to purchase the products you have chosen.

At this stage of the order process, your order is still awaiting our approval. Once we have approved your order, we will obtain a permit from your bank/credit card company for the amount of the order. We do not deduct payment at this point in the process (for products produced to order, the payment will be deducted immediately to start production). Your payment can be reserved in your account, which is normal procedure for banks and credit card companies. If your credit card is not approved, your order will not be processed.

After your order has been completed, you will receive an order confirmation by email that includes the terms and conditions of your order.


 

16. PAYMENT SECURITY

 

All prices on the website include Danish VAT.

We accept payment with: DANKORT, VISA and MASTERCARD.

The payment is processed by Dibs through a Nets-approved and PCI-certified payment solution. Dibs burger SSL encryption in communication with Nets. SSL is an abbreviation of Secure Socket Layer and is a security protocol that ensures that all data is encrypted in the communication between the customer, Mazo and Dibs. Therefore, it is not possible for third parties to intercept and exploit any credit card information. In addition, Dibs is fully PCI-certified. The purpose of the PCI certification is to create a common, international standard that defines requirements for the storage, transmission and handling of credit card data - and to ensure that these rules are complied with.

17. VAT, CUSTOMS DUTIES AND IMPORT TAXES

 

If the country to which you want delivery to, charges customs duties and import duties, these charges will be levied when the package arrives in the country of destination. You will be charged for these fees. This also applies to gifts and purchases made on behalf of another recipient.

Unfortunately, we have no control over customs and import duties, and cannot disclose how much these duties will amount to before your order is delivered. Customs rules vary from country to country. For further information, we recommend that you contact your local VAT and customs office.

For orders to be delivered outside the EU, the Danish VAT will automatically be deducted from your order on the website before payment. Please note that local VAT and import duties are added to your order upon delivery.


 

18. DELIVERY

 

We deliver free of charge to the whole EU.

If the products you have ordered are in stock, your order will be shipped from our warehouse within 1-2 working days after your order is completed. Most of our deliveries are made via either PostNord, GLS or with our own carrier.

When your order is shipped from our warehouse, you will receive an email from us with the tracking number.


 

19. CANCELLATION

 

You can cancel your order if it has not yet been shipped from our warehouse. Normally, orders will be shipped from our warehouse 1-2 business days after the order is completed contact us at orders@mazo-design.com so we can help you with the cancellation of your order.

If your order has been shipped from our warehouse, you can not cancel your order. The order will be delivered to your address, after which you have the opportunity to return the order. You can read more about our refund policy below.

Customized orders cannot be canceled. Once the payment has been made for customized products, the payment and the order are legally binding and the order will not be able to be canceled and refunded. Custommade items are made specifically for you based on your desire for color, textile and other preferences.

When you complete an order for an customized item, you also agree that the payment will be deducted as soon as we receive your order. Thus, the production of your products can start as soon as possible.

 

 

20. REFUND POLICY

 

When you receive your order, you have a 14-day right of return. You must notify us of the return of your order within 14 days of the date of receipt if you wish to return your order. Please write to orders@mazo-design.com if you would like to return a product.

When you receive your product, you have 14 days to examine and test the product. However, the product can only be tested and examined as you would have the option of it in a physical store. If these conditions are not met, you will be held responsible for any loss of value that this has caused. Once we have received the returned product, we will notify you of any loss of value and if the refund will be less than your original payment.

If the returned product appears new and unused, we will refund the full amount of the product. However, we do not cover the expenses that have been associated with the return. The refund will be made to the credit card or via the payment solution that you used to pay for the order, within 14 days after you notified us of the return. However, the refund will only be made once we have received the product in our warehouse.

 

Some products cannot be returned. This applies, among other things, customized items that are made specifically for you.


 

21. RETURN

 

Shipping fee for returning an order is not covered by us, but is paid and arranged by you. For larger orders, however, we can assist in arranging returns, although shipping costs will still have to be paid by you.

When a product is returned to our warehouse, you are responsible for the product until we have received it. Damage caused during the return will therefore also be your responsibility. Therefore, make sure that the product is properly packed to avoid damage to the product or packaging, as damaged packaging will also affect the value of the product. The original packaging of the product must therefore be intact. As proof of return, please keep receipts for returns.

You have the opportunity to return orders purchased online in our showroom in Copenhagen. The same return conditions as written above apply to returns in our showroom. Normally you will receive your refund directly in the showroom, but we reserve the right to process your return and refund within 14 days.

How to return an order:

Notify us via email to: orders@mazo-design.com within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to return the order.

Return the product in its original packaging within 14 days of notifying us by email.

Fill out the return form and attach the form to the product you are returning.

All expenses in connection with the return are paid by you and are not covered by Mazo ApS.

 

You will receive your refund within 14 days of receiving your notification. However, the refund will only be made when we have received the product in our warehouse.

Failure to return the product in its original packaging or condition may result in a reduction in the amount refunded for the returned product.

22. RIGHT OF COMPLAINT

 

We want all our customers to receive high quality products. If there is something wrong with the product you received or the delivery is not identical to your order (wrong product or if a product is missing), please contact us by email: orders@mazo-design.com.

In order for us to help you more quickly, you are very welcome to include as many details as possible, including the order number and pictures of the damaged product.

You always have a 24 month right to make a complaint about defective products. If there is something wrong with the product, please contact us as soon as possible.

You can either receive a new product, a discount or have your order refunded. This is decided individually from case to case. Decisions on this are made on the basis of Danish law.

If your complaint is valid, Mazo ApS will cover the expenses (within a reasonable level) you have had in connection with the return of the product. Please send us documentation for payment of the return.

When a product is returned to our warehouse, you are responsible for the product until we have received the product. Therefore, make sure that the product is properly packed. As proof of return, please keep receipts for return.


 

23. REFUND

 

If we accept the returned item as valid for resale, you will receive a full refund for the value of the product and the original delivery costs you paid. However, the cost of returning a product is paid by you and not by Mazo ApS.

The refund will be paid to your credit card (or other payment method) used to pay for the order within 14 days of you notifying us of the return. However, we reserve the right to refund the amount only after we have received the item in our warehouse and inspected it.

Please note that full refunds cannot be given if:

The product has been taken into use. For example, if kitchen utensils have been used for food, furniture has worn or marked after use, or bedding has been used, etc.

The product has been damaged in your custody. This also applies if the product is damaged during return.

You have handled and tested the product and its features differently than you would have the opportunity to do in a physical store.

The returned product is made to order based on your specific choices for color, textile or other preferences.


 

24. DISPUTES

 

If you have any complaints about goods purchased through www.mazo-design.com, you can contact the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority's Center for Complaint (Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsens Center for Klageløsning), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby. You can submit your complaint at www.forbrug.dk

 

You can also contact the Online Dispute Resolution provided by the European Commission. This is relevant for customers within the EU. You can submit your complaint at http://ec.europa.eu/odr. When submitting a complaint, please inform our customer service email: orders@mazo-design.com
